A Stony Brook Adventure

This weekend I introduced Jason to The Stony Brook School when we visited for my 10 year reunion. It turned out to be a very relaxing weekend, as we took several naps and did some reading. But we did have some adventures too...

Sailing
The SBS Sail Team now has ~50 students participating each semester. They have 4 keeled boats (they had 1 when I was a student) and still have over a dozen 420s. So when we went sailing Friday afternoon, there were four captains with us to take out the four boats.
We had the privilege of sailing with some friends I hadn't seen in probably 11 years: Paul and Lisa Gage. Their twin daughters that Christine and I used to babysit are now sophomores at SBS!

After dinner (yes, we did make it back to school in time for dinner), we stopped by a reception at the Grosvenor House, where we met up with some new friends from the class of 87 who convinced us to head down to the field for the Girls Varsity Soccer match. We spent a lot more time with people from other classes than from my own.

Reunion Dinner

Saturday evening was our Reunion Dinner in Port Jeff. We saw many classmates, some of whom had dropped off the planet for a few years, so it was a quite enjoyable evening.

Sunday
Sunday was, of course, Chapel in Carson. I was pleased to remember all the notes to The Lord Bless You and Keep You, probably because I heard it so much last year. =) We had Dinner at the Sides' table and time for a nap before our flight home. Jason took some great pictures in the air:

We got home late Sunday night and found a cute little tiger kitty who had missed us tremendously. We missed him too!

You should post some more SBS pictures on your site. I've always wanted to see the school about which you've spoken so highly.
